Default RE: COMP ARF 110" F4U ARF WITH FOLDING WING ASSEMBLY

Nav lights (cont)
The left side of the wing was done with red LED's.

pic 1:
One the left wing, I first screwed the top side of clear plastic over the nav light area before using a heat gun.
The screws did a better job of holding the one side in place while I bent the plastic over the edge of the wing.

pic 2/3:
The bottom side of the clear plastic screwed down after bending the plastic over the edge of the wing.
A felt tip was used to outline the area on the plastic to be cut.

pic 4/5:
The clear plastic was cut with small tin snips.
As with the right side, a razor saw was used to cut out the nav light area and then sanding smooth.
Two LED's soldered to each other and two twisted wires with a male extension soldered on the other end and bundled with the aileron/flap extensions.
Tweezers used as 'heat sinks' when soldering the LED's to each other and to the twisted wire and heat shrink tubing used to electrically isolate the two wires.
Next will be making the female ends and more twisted wire routed through the center wing with another male connection to go to the fuse.
