I had to put a remote glow plug lead on my Model Tech P-51 with Saito 72. The engine just barely fits in the engine compartment, making it a bear to squeeze a glow igniter directly onto the glow plug at the head.

So, I bought a Sullivan remote glow plug lead and hooked it up. Well, when the glow plug is in the engine head the cap that connects to the plug is really loose, not allowing current to flow to the plug. But, when I take the plug out of the engine head and put the cap on it fits tightly.

Does anyone know any tricks to get this darn thing to work? I'd like to put the cowling on this bird but can't while I have this problem. Thanks a bunch!
