Default Traxxas Villain Dual brushless

Hey Guys, I've not been on in a year, but i've done some cool stuff. I have finally completed my complete customization of my Villain IV, its taken quite a while, Its My first "real" boat. I also have a Vintage Latrax cigarette 31" boat restored and updated. Now, back to my Villain. It started out as an old IV i got off e-bay($40 bucks) and it did work, 20 turn stingers, stock Esc etc., but my word, what a slug. All it did was drag its heavy butt around at about 12-15 mph. I went to 19t Assoc. Gt turbo, somewhat better, around 17-20 mph im guessing. Well, i wanted a real fast boat, so in went the Dual Castle 4600's and the dual scorpion 110amp esc's. 2 4000 mah 20c 11.1 lipos were in order naturally. I know you're thinking all im gonna do is shred the crappy u-drives. They went into the trash. In went two custom made 4mm steel shafts, notched and threaded at my buddies shop. They create a straight shaft all the way out to the props, thru the outdrives. A custom Ms. budweiser shortened rudder went on the back. I made my own trim tabs to take out the side to side bobbing. It went really good, i went easy on her at first, just purring, then goosed it, wow! Big rooster and lots of speed. Im not sure what its doin, but im guessing 30-35. My father-in-law is a sherriff and im gonna get his gun and clock it. Anyway, just thought id share my very time consuming and rewarding build, its been fun. P.S. had to add two fans besides the water cooling.
