I second the recommendation to reinforce the firewall with some tri-stock. Mine popped loose early in my training from an ugly landing that I think it should have been able to handle. Epoxy some tri-stock behind the firewall if you can get to it, or in front if it will fit. And while you have the epoxy mixed, I would fuel proof the engine bay as well.
