Default RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

Hey Guys,

So here is my issue. F-15 ready to go and I was testing how well the tanks held air when my Tam failsafe kicked in and retracts popped down. After much diligence and pinching lines with hemostats I have realized that the problem is that my left and right main gear aren't holding air well and have leaks in the cylinders. Problem is I can't seem to unscrew the cylinder heads and get in there to check out the "O"-rings. The cyclinders seem permanently welded shut!!! [X(]

Has anybody comes across this issue. Simply pumping oil into the cyclinder to seat the rings better seems to be a quick fix type solution and I am not even sure it would work.

I have read on this thread that some people e-mailed James and he sent them new stuff. My concerns:

1. What is James' e-mail?

2. Did anybody just switch out the cyclinders with another brand name (Robart? BVM?) and if you did, which brand and what model number exactly (maybe I will just pay the cash, get the quality cylinder & not be stressing about my gear popping down every other flight)

Thanks fellas,
Shaz
