Hi Guy's !

I have an FEJ F16 1/8 standard version with the third fuel tank. Last week I wanted to make the first flight... My F-16 didn't want to take off, the flight track is budding 150m long. The ground was very wet. My turbine is a merlin 90 (9.5kg thrust).

My C/G is 145mm.
Does someone had the same problem ? I think try again on a concrete runway next time after I will repair.

My F-16 weigh 9.6kg dry.

Best regards
Rapy,

On my one and only flight off tarmak I to found my standard F16 with a Falcon 100 turbine took a while to get airborne. It took off and flew like it was nose heavy. I now have a Rabbit which is similar to your Merlin and will run the COG at 150/155mm for next flight.

A fellow in Qld (Dapsta) also had a F16 Advanced with a Falcon 100 trubine and his first attempt off grass also resulted in an aborted flight a few times. He managed to get it airborne for 1 flight off grass, but sold it as it did not like grass with his set up.

Like Todd said I think they like a lot of elevator and more rearward COG for grass operation.
