Default RE: On Off switch setup ??

ORIGINAL: Tom Nied

What if it gets bumped by accident before takeoff?
Over thirty years pushing in for on and never a problem. Doesn't get bumped, totally aware of where the switch is and because the engine is idling when the airplane is being handled, the first indication of the switch being bumped and turned off would be a lack of throttle response. This truly is a non-issue! You like to push-in for "on" I think that's wonderful. My experience and what I feel is common sense for myself likes pulling out to turn "on". When I've used the Volt Watch MPI switch or a regular slide switch, I mount so sliding to the back, is "on".

There is no right and wrong here and there is only so many ways to do this. The O.P. has likely heard all the answers to his question that there are, plus some usful information about living in "Joysey"!! Happy St. Patty's to ya all!
