What if it gets bumped by accident before takeoff?
This is almost impossible in most cases. The switch is usually mounted to the fuse in the wing area, so you would bump the wing long before you got near the switch. And as far as handling the plane goes, you need to PUSH or PULL that switch, slight accidental pressure is not going to move it. Note how most people said theirs got bumped while putting it in the car, etc. This can happen when the wing is off, but it's a lot more difficult when the wing is on.
