Default RE: Fasst antenna placement in a SSE

Mesa:

I was a little tail heavy (I checked before covering). I did add some balsa to the rudder ( 3/4" ) and had the Sullivan like you. I am about to replace the nylon control rods with metal which might change things more.

The CG wasn't too bad; maybe 1/2" behind spar. It was hard to nail down as it would fall back or forward depending on how level I started...I tried up-side-down too and it was still very touchy.

Anyway, I will mount the battery under the tank (still room even after lower my tank floor) and an APC prop will help too (I will start with a Master Airscrew though because I might break a few).

Like they said, the Rx won;t change thing anyway. I did have everything else installed though.

Minn: If I mount beside throttle server, I am worried about the wire for the throttle. Like I said, there is a bunch of metal in there. Current plan is to "drop" one down the hole (hole is there for velco for Rx) and run the other along the fuse wall.
