Default RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Okay Saito experts, I need a little help. I bought a Nosen Aeronca Champ with a Saito 130 twin that appears to be barely broken in. It has two glow plugs per cylinder and, of course, two carburetors. The low end seemed really rich and I've leaned each LSN about 3/4 of a turn. The transition to wide open throttle is much more crisp but it acts like I need to go further. What's the best procedure for peaking the high speed needles? Should I start the engine on one cylinder and peak it and then shut down and repeat the process with the other cylinder? I find it very difficult to set both cylinders simultaneously. I managed to run through three tanks of fuel today but had to land deadstick at least six times. Should I install onboard glow? Any advice will be welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul
