Default RE: JP needs help!

OK, another problem I had today:
After chasing my rubber do-nut for my starter all around the frik'n yard, I got my drag truck to start. I have noticed on the LSN, it is ONLY 1/2 turn from fully closed. And I think my HSN is about 1.5 to 2 turns from fully closed. If I open them up any more the engine floods. I thought the LSN needs to be flush with the collar but that is like 3-4 turns out.
It took me forever in a day to get it fired up because of this. Is this normal? The slide carbs are brand new. The temp only got up to 205*f, but was a pain to start.
Anyone have a clue? I have not sealed up the engine just yet. I don't remember where the LSN needle is on my Infinity 18, but it runs like a beast.

Eddie, do you have any of these bodies in stock?
10321 1/10 truck body
Thanks bro.
