Ken's list contains glow engine planes only. Electrics can also be a good way to start. If you are not going to join a club or get some help before you start, then you definitely need to go with the hobbyzone Super Cub. I fly more advanced planes including nitro powered. But I still keep the Super Cub in my trunk because I can pull it out at a moments notice and fly it on my lunch break or any other time I have 20 minutes to kill and a good place to fly it!
