Default Thimble Drone Experts, what is this??

Found these engine parts in a box I bought today. I have seen Baby Bees, TD's, and even RR-1's, but I hve never seen this before. The text on the bottom of the crank says "Thimble Drone". The crank is threaded at the prop shaft, and the needle valve is offset on the back plate. I beleive the backplate is part of the same engine as the mount holes are the same.
Is this something good, or just more junk?
