A friend of mine just picked up a Ziroli P-38 (completed, but never flown). When he told me he bought one, I told my friend that I recalled seeing these posts from way back... and now of course my friend is interested in strengthening the boom in this area.

What's the recommended reinforcing technique? Is laying carbon strips along the inside of the boom sufficient?

Any more reports of this type of failure?
