Buggy or MT for bashing?
Hey guys. I am thinking about picking up a nice 1/8 nitro buggy if my rustler sells soon. If I pick up the buggy, I will be selling my t-maxx, as i simply dont need 3 nitro r/c's.
What im curious of, is which you would pick for bashing purposes. Mainly running around the yard, and in the road. My savage will be for the hardcore off road stuff.
Basically it seems the 1/8 buggies are really durable, fast, handle and brake well, and they are very simple to work on.
The T-Maxx wont be quite as durable im sure, but it is really easy to get parts for, should be real close on the top speed, the brakes are pretty good, and if i lower it some(which i will be doing), it should handle pretty well for the most part.
I like both, but have never owned a 1/8th buggy. I LOVE the ez start on my maxx, and i really like the 2.5 too because mine has been really easy to tune and idles great. Im sure the buggy would be tougher, but i wont be bashing either one hard, so i think that whatever parts i did break on the maxx would be a quick and easy fix. The t-maxx should also be easier on fuel being a small block, and one major advantage is that i already have the t-maxx.
I dont want to hear anything about how you think a t-maxx is junk. Talking about durability is fine, i just dont want brand/truck bashing for the sake of keeping the thread alive. Just state your opinion on which you would like better for bashing and why.
Basically i think both would hold up well for me. Both would be pretty quick, and handle, and stop well, with the buggy having the edge in all 3 category's there(i would assume). but the Maxx would be easier to get parts for, use less fuel, and have a nicer starting system.
Let hear what y'all think. I think i may be leaning toward just keeping my t-maxx right now, but we will see what happens. Thanks
Eric
