Yes, I was warned. However I started using the engine mounts provided.
During engine running tests these anti vibrating mount proved to be counterproductive. My engine was shaking violently. The engine I use is the OS 120 AX. It resulted in tearing of the rubber dampers. They tearing developed where the holes were.
I now placed two 2mm thick aluminium strips. See the attached picture. Together with a washer of .5mm under each of the 4 engine holes I have the good hight for the engine. So now I’m trying the solid mount of the engine. I’ll let you know how this will hold. I use no additional strengthening in the engine bay.
