RE: New CMP Cessna 182 .52 size
Hi FAV. I also went with the DX7 and used 8 DS821 servos. I used them because they have plenty of tork for the 50 size (77oz/in @ 4.8v or 88oz/in @ 6.v). I would not use them in a 1/4 scale but they will have plenty for the 52 size. I went with the OS FS56-a 4-Stroke. The 52 2-stroke has more power but the 4-stroke develops more tork. The 52 should be plenty. The DX7 is the first Computerized radio I have tried and the OS FS56-a is the first 4-stroke for me too. I almost have it completed. I need to cutoff the left aileron and flap because they were warped and thought i could straighten them out when I epoxied them in place but it did not work so I have to put in the new ones that John at Nitro sent me. He did right by me. I also went with better hardware. I put in the Robart 654 nose gear and 2-3/4" Dubro Lite wheels. I used the metal clevses and push-pull golden rods for the rudder with 3/4" sullivan steel control horns and 1/8" Robart point hinges. It may be over kill but I would rather be safe then smashed-up. Let me know if I can help. Dave.
