Default RE: 90 size engine on a Pulse XT 60

ORIGINAL: DenverJayhawk

Hi All,

Has anyone had experience with a 90 size engine on a Pulse XT 60? This will be my second model after the NexStar. Am I getting too much power for a second model? Will the Pulse XT even accomodate a 90 engine?

Also, I know O.S. seems to be the gold standard, but since the 90 sized two strokes are $230, it also impacts the budget. I've heard good things about ThunderTigre 90s, but they are nearly $200 as well and don't come with a muffler. I've also heard mixed reviews about the ST 90 when searching this forum.

Can anyone recommend a good alternative to an OS 90 that is reliable and easy to start and tune?

Thanks.
I had an OS 75AX on my Sig 4* and it flew it like a champ. The planes supposedly have similar flying charactgeristics and weight.

Dumb thumbed it in a couple of weeks ago.
