It was not welded, just hard solderd (is that the same as brazing?) but very badly. My other turbine has a welded ring. This should hold very well since it is in the cold air flow and the plug and case conduct the heat. The silver solder i used melts at 610 degrees celcius so there are better options but i do not have better equipment.
