I for one am dissappointed in the activities since this matter was resolved. How have these communications and their negative impact with the AMA staff effected our ability to get straight answers to future inquiries?
I feel a memo to staffers coming down from the top at Headquarters. [:@]
Any such memo should make certain no staff person offers or accomplishes anything effecting another AMA member's personal business, at the request of a different member. Sad that such a memo is needed, but when someone jumps through hoops to do damage or whatever to any AMA member, at the request of another AMA member, then the in-office training and supervisory personnel all sorely need such memo.
That point of effecting another member has NOT ONE THING to do with getting a straight answer. When the staffer said the question-item could be done, the
STRAIGHT answer would simply have been, "You can request for Mr. Hurt to call me."
Simple enough.
I am in no way saying MS. Eppards didn't err. I wouldn't go so far as to confuse correct answer with straight answer though. She probably had no idea as to the questioners motives.
