Yeah that's defiantly normal because you will fun that under load they drop down.

lestatsghost - I know that when I put 8 fresh charged NiMHs in my receiver that it read 11.2v on the digital read out. The other reason I chose that is because it offers it in that calculator. I went to the NiMH section for the batteries and the highest voltage per cell offered is 1.4. these are the only thing I'm basing it off. I simply know that I have run NiMHs at more than 1.4v p/cell. Both you and I have mentioned that it won't be for long but it will happen. It will obviously also depend on the application.
