RE: Your best building blunders! ...post em' here.
My biggest blunder I hope I never top. This happened about 17 years ago. I was building a scratchbuilt biplane from plans, and one of the stringers was a little off after using CA.(yes, another CA incident). I was using an Xacto knife with a #11 blade, left hand wrapped around the fuselage and right hand digging away at the CA when the knife slipped. I jabbed the blade into the index finger of my left hand to the bone right at the top knuckle. I think I sliced too because the scar is about half an inch long. So that plane was built with blood and sweat. Luckily the kitchen sink was only 5 feet away so I didn't get too much blood all over the kitchen. Fortunately I didn't have to make a run to the hospital for that one. I have to look hard now to see the scar.
