Default RE: GP Illusion

For those interested, I have since confirmed that the wing and stab center lines on the Illusion are equidistant from the the thrust line. This became a common trend in later classic pattern designs with several models with such a configuration (or approximately so). These designs include the Deception (perhaps one of the earliest and designed specifically around this concept), Illusion, Escape, XLT, Aurora, Atlanta, Beetle and others.

I should have specific measurements on the wing airfoil thickness of the Illusion later this year but from all evidence, the wing and stab airfoils (and planforms) are identical to those of the Tipo. As for wing dihedral and stab anhedral, the kit documentation confirms that the wing is joined upside down with a 1/16" gap at the root (i.e., practically flat top) and the stab anhedral is 2" total.

For any scratch Illusion builders out there, I hope this helps.

David.
