Default RE: DCH-2 Beaver

Your right about the bug, it wont stop............... I have the DCH-2 and the Piper Pawnee both are very good products of Horizon. They fly what I would consider very scale like.
It has been a while since I built the beaver, I got in on the 1st generation. The instructions are very good and as always parts are labeled in seperate bags so construction is a breaze.
Take your time putting in the windows as it can be a bit tricky
The cowl had one of the brackets broken off, but some aradilte fixed that. You will need a long allen key to reach the bolts on the cowl as the bolts are on the inside and attach to the firewall.
I modified mine and droped a satio 52 up front. It meant that I had to move the firewall back I think 20mm ( as I said it was a while ago ) but a motor sould burn fuel and blow some smoke
It suited the beaver perfect it even balanced spot on with out any added weight.
I set throws as per manual and balance as per specs.
Some thing to note: I nosed over on a couple of dead sticks and some longer grass. The top of the rudder broke off, so I reinforced it with some tooth picks and had no probs since. It can be a weak point , but I guess your not meant to land on your head.
If you like scale you will be very happy with this bird, they have done a top job on this one hats off to Horizon.......... Cheers
