Ok I want to try this again, hopefully third time is the charm.

I run electric boats so I am semi familiar with some things but a total plane noob.

This is my dads plane BTW, Im helping him get it sorted out.

He bought this ARF kit:

We need to pick out a proper motor, prop, radio gear and servo's.

First plane, first time flier, first build, yadda yadda.

My dad is on a budget and we would prefer to order everything from www.hobbyking.com (Ive ordered there before).

If anyone with experience could aid us in selecting the proper equipment we would be thankful.
