Default Torque monster

Hey Redcat enthusiasts, I just got my Volcano all cleaned and ready to run, and put in a new piston and sleeve for the Hyper .21. Got her running smoothly and impressed a few girlies at the park Finished building and installing my custom Direct drive made from an old 47T 2 speed spur gear and a 51T Savage X spur gear. Clutch bell was a 12T from HPI. This combination equaled GOBS of torque upon take off with stock speed. With huge 6 inch tires, heavy suspension, and a big block, that's not bad. Wheelies anyone?

Then the inevitable happened. There was "so" much torque, the stock one-way bearing that came with my two speed totally shattered. Upon closer inspection, it seems the stock Redcat one-way bearing was made of plastic; no way near strong enough to handle the power of the engine. So I replaced the old with a used yet much stronger, full steel one-way bearing I found in my blown HPI 15FE motor. It was a perfect fit and fit nicely in the stock location.
