Default RE: The Beast has arrived

Welcome to the club! I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do mine.

No game taxes my puter. 60 fps without fail (max refresh on my big screen). I'd love to see what I can get on crysis with a 120 hz monitor. But I have to wonder if it would look any different. 60 fps is pretty awesome. You might not be able to notice the difference between say 80 and 60.

I opted for the Nvidia 790i Ultra SLI MoBo & an Antec 1200 case. No overclock, why bother? I am really looking forward to getting some games that push my computer - but I bet I have to wait a couple of years.

Almost forgot... 3 cards/SLI means no expansion slots available. I was thinking of getting one of thos Killer nic's since online gaming is sometimes limited by network traffic - even with my 11 meg DSL account. But there isn't anywhere to put it with those 3 gigantic vid cards. Someone needs to make a MoBo that you can link 3 vid cards and still have an expansion slot or two open. I suppose this means a new form factor. []
