RE: RCGF 20cc gas engine on a 63" Profile Yak-54
So here is an update: I got 5, 10 minute flights in today with high speed snaps, walls and moderate to hard 3D flying. The wing bolt mod held up flawlessly. I was worried that I might see the hole in the CF tube start to wear or round out. So far no evidence of that. I used the bottom aft stock tab as an anti-rotation pin and for the first time I saw no cracking or evidence of stress on the tab at the end of the day. If you have the time I really recommend doing the modification it makes the wing mount a zillion times stronger, I could not be more pleased with how it worked out.
