Default RE: My first RC plane

You have bought it so you are in.
It is not the best trainer that I should recommend to learn and get involved into model airplanes hobby, but if you feel that you like this hobby then I would recommend choosing one trainer from RcKen list:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4537845/tm.htm

You will note that almost all trainers are bigger in size which helps to handle some winds, and almost (if not all) all listed there are glow powered, which is still cheaper to buy than an electric choice.
The cub model airplane is not a trainer (even that they are marketing like that), it is a very nice model but harder to handle than a trainer.
A good trainer will give you hours of fun and will get you involved into the hobby, those new electric toys advertised like trainers, are hard to handle, can not handle winds and maybe will encourage you to get out of the hobby. Just think that there are easier planes to learn to fly.
As I said you have just bought it so, give it a try and if for any reason you just do not success on flying it then think what I have just said, and if you want to invest a bit more and want to stay in the hobby for a while, then choose a trainer from the RcKen list and visit this forum with all kind of questions you may have.
