I left my digital camera at work. I'll upload some new photos tomorrow. I didn't realize when I took the picture above that it was in between gears. I got out the controller and cycled it back and forth and it seems to push the linkage against the driveshaft when fully open. The tubing is bunched up because it is so long and needs to be compressed to install the brass collar on the end. Seemed suspicious to me also, but I figured HPI knew what they were doing. Maybe if I trimmed a little off the tubing it wouldn't extend so far as to bend the shifter towards the driveshaft. I'll dig out my wife's camera and upload two pics in a few minutes.
