I’ve never had much luck with expanding foam because it is too difficult to control. You could cut a slot and slide a rib under it. Normally the grain should be vertical on the stab and that would have reduced the problem some, but in your case it makes it easier to cut a slot and add some ribs in there. Or just fill the low area.
