its all about personal preference, some swear by em, I had one years ago, it worked but I still like the gear crank pumps better, there more precise. They both have about the same service life, crank pumps the gears wear out and seize, the six shooter the hose gets brittle and or pinches shut and both are almost cheaper to replace than rebuild.
