Wow, sorry to hear your story!

Like anything mass produced, there are going to be defective units, and it sounds like you got one.

If the LHS won't help, I would call Horizon when they open on Monday, they have EXCELLENT customer support, and I'm sure will take care of it for you. Just explain exactly what happened to them.
