Default Do we really need a TX pound for 2.4 at the WC?

Hi All,
Now that we seem to have a large number of guys flying on 2.4 should these pilots be exempt from putting the tx in the pound. I understand that if pilots are using 35, 40 or 72MHz then there is a safety issue but this is not the case for 2.4.

The benefits I see are
Less work for the organiser.
It would avoid the need to get out of bed at 5:30AM to get the TX's in the pound.
It would allow pilots to check their models while putting them together.
It will allow pilots to practice before or after their flight without waiting to get the TX back.
And most improtantly it would mean that teams can avoid getting disqualified for being late for the TX pound. Imagine travelling half way around the world and being disqualified because you were 10 mins late putting your TX in.

Just a thought
