i have been thinking of how i am going to make the struts for my "other Rascal", and will probably use some large airfoiled shaped aluminum from K and S METALS with a carbon fiber aeroshaft epoxied inside the aluminum so i can glue some 4-40 all thread into the small aeroshaft ends. after that, maybe put 4-40 clevises on the ends so it will be adjustable if needed. a small brass or aluminum bracket bolted to the fuse and to the bottom of the wing so there will be a place for the struts to attach. i have a 1/4 scale cub that is done something like that. have not figured out how to keep the strut from trying to rotate yet. that "Rascal" project is still hanging on the wall. hopefully, i will get to that one in a few weeks so i can have it ready for the RASCAL FLYIN in Evansville.
