So, how long would that engine run in a 12'x20'x8' air tight garage?
And will it collapse the walls and roof? Well that depends......... .
I can't imagine why this needs to be known but it's just a simple math problem. Engine size is in cub inches so divide that by 1728 to get engine size in cub feet. Multiply that by whatever RPM and you have cub feet/min. Then take a guess at engine efficiency (let's say 80%) and multiply cub feet/min by .8 and there's the answer. Exhaust volume (once it's cooled down) should be about the same because combustion has converted one gas (oxygen) into another gas (CO2).
