I am still in school too. I get money every couple months for my straight As, and try to do as much work around the house I can. For example, I save up cans and after about every month or 2, I cash them in and get about $30-$50. I wash my parents cars, mow the lawn, get a little bit of allowance ($10 a week) for other small chores. and save up on Christmas and Birthday money. My parents know what im doing (dad used to race 1:1 offroad cars) and my mom goes to the track and talks with a bunch of people so they like rc racing. So if it something I absolutitely NEED, for example last month I NEEDED an AMB Personal Transponder becasue the track I race at doesnt have them, we bought a new one and my mom pitched in 50%. Also, one big thing I do is help save money, which gets me the extra things (going to the track every weekend) from the money I help my parents save. For example, I take care of things more than most people, I am not reckless and break things like nothing, and when going to nice restraunts I dont order the most expensive food. All in all, I save my parents money, and in exchange, they reward me by giving me some money to buy things like an engine (which will last me a racing season), worn parts (about $30-$60 every month),and tires (I buy 1 run old tires at my track for $10 for a set of 4).
