I 've got a Poulan 22 which is the same as a 32. The 32 just has a bigger jug and piston. If it's the same as mine you could remove the cyl gasket and be ok but I would re-do ex. port timing after removing gasket. Ive contemplated re working the ex. port by widening it some as well as the timing but, I haven't got that brave yet. On my 22 I get 6500 with a stock carb, stock 32 muffler, Top Flight 16 x 6 and a Bosch plug. Believe it or not on the Poulan, the plug makes a big difference. I gained 400 RPMs just by changing to a different plug.
