I apologize for not reading the entire Thread. Just parts are exhausting.
If I missed it, I apologize again, but I see nothing said about the flying field being "sanctioned" by the AMA. Is this a "rogue" field not recognized by the AMA?
As a former Commercial Pilot, and owner of my own Seaplane business, Island Air, and life long model builder, and member of the AMA, I would like to add this.
I actually started building models at age seven but didn't take a flying less till age 18. I have over 55 years of model building experience and 2,000 hrs. of left seat time as PIC, in a few different aircraft.
In my view, this means absolutely nothing and it doesn't make an individual smart or cleaver. Never has never will.
However, anyone who flies a model airplane, in a field which is not sanctioned by the AMA, must realize they are in the wrong to begin with and should not be there. Anything after that is totally their fault and responsibility.
