Ian,yeah you guess it, the rx is suspended on the rubber bands, i admit its ugly but i'm still running some 36mhz crystal rx's and i'm not willing to go buy synthesised or 2.4ghz while they still work fine.
i just reckon they do better isolated from all that vibration.
