Default RE: Name the plane - such a nice game...!

The Rossi has been repared, a new bushing was installed in the lower conrod eye.

BUT - there was a big surprise waiting upon disassembly of that Rossi - the main ball bearing was missing a ball !!!! and 3 of the remaining balls show severe spalling. Still can´t beleive one ball has completely dissappeared.
Has anybody else encoutered this? I have tried to do some photos of that ball bearing, I think you can see the spalling quite well. So much for engines which are offered "as new condition, unrun" on E**Y.
What will the reason be for blowing out a ball, and such severe damage to that bearing? Heavy knocking? Unbalanced prop? Besides of that, the Rossi looks very well, has a like new strong compression and does show only minimal signs of rust on the crankshaft.
Please share your experiences....

Good news about the broken nose landing gear, it has been replaced by a new one. We will see how Ã*t behaves in flight.

Now I have to wait for the right weather to maiden the Kosmo!
