I used to use monokote, either clear or colored per the model. But lately I've used Blendrem tape (medical tape) I buy it in one inch wide rolls from Walmart, Walgrens, etc. for just a couple bucks. It looks kinda whiteish but when you roll it out it goes on vertiually clear. It is so much easier than anything else I've tried. It's very nice. I usually do both sides.
