Plastic props are nothing but trouble. After having a talk with then IMPBA Pesident Bill Zuber, they were outlawed for competition for any nitro powered boat and most electric classes. They can be brittle and subject to breakage at any time. I had one fall apart on my Super-Vee 27 Nitro while just pull-starting it! Overtightening the prop nut also places too much pressure on them breaking them at the mold lines.</p>

What happens in the water when the RPM gets up there the plastic blades will twist before breaking.</p>
