U Can Do 46 modification
I was having problems starting my Magnum XL70 RFS, and getting it to run at a low idle. I tried all the tricks; starting inverted, pinching off the fuel line, etc. Nothing worked as good as re-mounting the engine upright.
I cut a spot for the servo under the canopy, and reinforced it on the back side with aircraft ply. Icut a hole in the dashboard to run the push rod through for the throttle. Icut a hole in the cowling for the motor.I'll probably glass it to cover the old holes this winter. IthinkI'm going to keep the hole in the front of the cowling, just for extra ventilation. It's still not idling real low, about 3500 - 3800, but she sure starts better!
