Also an update, I ran an x450 at 73kmh on gps (not very fast IMO) on the KB458xl...

lipos got pretty hot, id say that the L might be less torquey, but i still think 5 or 6s will be the go!

also your calculations are for free running rpms ?
when i run my kb through the ESC's usb program, it shows me 21000 rpm on the rev counter.
