i used an 40fp in a falcon and previosly used a 40 k&b on it both were bushing type apc moters the k&b was stronger. the sf is awesome with a ring and a pipe .sf is a little heavier but not much as it has bearings. most bushing motors are a lower end motor, but do the job but don't expect awesome power as i've never been inpresed with the fp
