My club sounds a lot like yours. "Any of the experienced pilots can take you up", "you'll know when your ready to solo", etc.

At least I know I'm not ready. But, it seems that there are less and less pilots offering to buddy box. I'm really feeling the urge to just start doing my own thing... it's frustrating always having to go "beg" someone to help take off and land....</span></span>
