RE: Can I mix Elevator and throttle?
Good Grief this is not some Yak, Cap, Suk, Extra sport aerobat, patten plane or silly 3D thing. Its a Trainer/glider and this is the trainer forum I think.
Using a pitch/power mix on this nice flying little trainer is going to be so detrimental to its mission that it only going to cause the fellow a lot of heartburn.
Fact is in all fixed wing powered aircraft model or full scale the Pitch Trim will be changed everytime time there is a power change up or down. Yes of course there are ways to minimise it depending on the mission of the aircraft such as up or down thrust (as needed) However it will never be completely eliminated. That is just facts of life and it is far better to learn how to fly and trim the airplane.
With many gliders and park flyers as well as most old timers unlike other types use substancial decaledge and specifically wing to stab which often is as much as seven or eight degrees. This while the aerobats and even some modern trainers us as little as zero wing to stab. What this does is provide much more pitch stability (Hmm Trainer) but it also cause the throttle now become the primary pitch control and not the elevator. The elevator mearly becomes a trimming device.
Its a Trainer if it climbs to steeply for you pull the power back a bit.
