Forgive me Ira, but I don't see how that confirms that its a heat related issue, it only confirms that Hobbico don't know why themanufacturer puts a dot on the Rx, IMO the fact that no one knows or will confirm is because no one outside the manufacturing process has any idea why dots are on some and not on others, now the fact that a newly introduced Rx (HS) has a gold dot on it just indicates to me that its a QC procedure, as looking inside the case its a different make up to the previous FS.

There have been dot discussions in the past about Futaba Rx's prior to 2.4Ghz, so it may be that different colour dots mean different production lines or different shift's in the manufacturers factory, I know this is a procedure used by a company I can't name but they make micro electronic parts and plug in boards for the jump jet.</p>

If you had beeninvolved with all the discussion that has taken place on various forums over the past year about the dot and heat issue you would understand
the fact isthat Hobbico alwayshas claimed not to knowanything about the heat issue or the dots yet many people have been able to figure out what is causing
the heatproblem, and also figure out what the differences was between the dot and non dot receivers.

You will never get me to belleve that Hobbico who is the USA repair center could not have ran the same test as many others have to confirm or deny
those test finding,In fact in order to repair the receivers they would have to know the specs and parts difference between the two.
