Default RE: New DX7 fails range check...

ORIGINAL: TedMo

I agree you should take it back to where you bought it. I have 10 rx's some ar7000 some 6200 and have never had a glitch in 2 years. Do be sure you have each rx oriented properly although even if not you should do better than you are doing. I guess you have a bad TX and should get another from ypour hobby shop, why should you have to send back and do without? One thing I suggest is check the Tx battery.

TX battery is around 11v. ( fresh charge )

I just went down to the local school to do a range check. (yard is to small/cluttered)
With the AR6200 RX it wasnt as bad as it was at the field. ( locked up at 10 paces ) NowAt 30 paces it would start locking up the controls sometimes less sometimes more. I tried a bunch of times.
Ithen put the AR700 in the planes and I get to 27 - 30 paces (90 feet) and the controls will start to freeze. sometimes got to 40 paces and it worked.

If Ihad these results at the field today I probably would have flown.
BUT With my DX6i I could go 45-50 paces on a range check and never lost control.
I never walked out far enough to loose it with my DX6i. Also my buddy wlked out 50 paces with his DX7 and AR7000 and never a glitch in the range test.

SOOO, I'm still not impressed with this range check....
